We are developing afforestration project in Guizhou province, and 23,720ha of the forest was planted on barren lands The implementation of the project is expected to reduce the GHG emissions amounting to 10,077,450 tCO2e over the next 29years, with an average GHG emission removal of 347,498tCO2e annually.The project also creates unique benefits:

  • Create better ecological conditions and material welfare for ethnic minority people in the project area.

  • Provide experience of forest planting and management in the Karst region.

  • Mitigate the damage caused by rocky desertification to the soil.

  • Improve women’s social status and promote equality between men and women.
