Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) : A REC is an Energy Attribute Certificate (EAC). Through the use of EACs, end-users around the world can make reliable claims about their energy usage such as: “my factory runs on 100% renewable energy”, “our products are made with 100% wind energy” and “our global electricity usage causes zero end-of-pipe emissions”.

RE100 is a global corporate renewable energy initiative. Companies that are connected to RE100 are determined to run their business on 100% renewable energy. I-RECs are recognized as a reliable instrument to report the use of renewable energy.

I-REC

Accepted by CDP and the Climate Group, the International REC Standard (I-REC Standard) provides a robust tracking system to record the generation and redemption of renewable power. I-REC is used by group business who has operation located outside North America and Europe.

China is one of the biggest IREC supply and offset countries . In 2017, more than 200million IREC were issued and retired, equal to 2billion renewable electricity.
