Nature Based Solutions (NBS) are defined by IUCN as “actions to protect, sustainably manage, and restore natural or modified ecosystems, that address societal challenges effectively and adaptively, simultaneously providing human well-being and biodiversity benefits”.
The IUCN Global Standard for Nature-based Solutions was developed to be facilitative, incentivising and enabling users to implement strong NbS projects through public consultation reaching hundreds of stakeholders from 100 countries. And the first version of the Global Standard for Nature-based Solutions was launched in July 2020.
Nature Based Solution
Nature based solution includes many sectors, forests are probably the most well-known nature-based solution for climate change, but there are many more - including peatlands, mangroves, wetlands, savannahs, coral reefs and other landscapes.
As a company with rich experience in managing carbon project portfolio, we are continuing to expand our project experience into nature based solution sector and promptting the climate benefit by conduting any initiatives.
We are helping our clients scoure the carbon credits that are certified by international standards to ensure they are robust, but also provide measurable benefits to the ecosystems and communities in which they operate. We have already try more innovative projects like biodiversity, forests, mangroves and soil restoration.
